A global approach for local results
All our activities are carried out :
Emergency response planning is done with the objective of limiting the possible impact of oil spill incidents thanks to an efficient organisation. The management of all aspects of the response, the deployment of best-suited strategies and resources are key to a rapid response and ensure an efficient management of the equipment.
OTRA’s planning approach combines reality on the ground and operational methods and techniques. It is based on the recommendations advocated by the IMO (International Maritime Organisation), IPIECA (Global Association of the International Petroleum Industry for Environmental and Conservation issues) and ITOPF (International Tanker Owners Pollution Federation).
OTRA also provides training and runs exercises, which include the definition and deployment of response strategies and techniques, the deployment and maintenance of oil spill response equipment, the setting up and organisation of work sites, the management of crisis and relations with media , the aerial observation of pollution at sea, the management of compensation issues …
Our objectives:
“Ensure that, in the event of an incident, all players know their role and responsibilities perfectly in order to guarantee
a safe,
rapid, and effective
response using well-suited emergency management and response procedures”
